Fishing tournament hosted by Lakes End & Stay Nantahala
Kick off the summer at Lakes End Marina starting Memorial Day Weekend! Starting on Friday Morning, Lakes End Marina and Stay Nantahala are hosting the first annual Memorial Day Fishing tournament on Lake Nantahala. Enjoy great food from Lakes End Cafe & Grill all weekend long including breakfast and don't miss the signature Friday Night All You Can Eat Fish Fry and Saturday Night Prime Rib Special. Grab the family and sit around the firepit at Lakes End for a bonfire and S'mores night (S'mores kits available for sale at Lakes End Marina Store). Don't miss out!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE in the fishing tournament:
Pre-register at Lakes End Marina on Thursday May 25th, up until 7PM, or Check-in and register on Friday Morning at Lakes End Marina between 6:15AM and 6:45AM. Put-in at the Rocky Branch Public Boat Launch or the Big Choga Public Boat Launch and arrive at Lakes End Marina dock by 6:45 for registration, number assignment, and a live well check. Breakfast Sandwiches and coffee will be available for purchase at check-in.
PRIZE WINNERS WILL RECIEVE:
• 1st Place: $600 • 4th Place: $200
• 2nd Place: $350 • 5th Place: $150
• 3rd Place: $250 • Big Fish: $150
Fishing tournament rULES & CONDITIONS:
Blast-off: 7 AM at Lakes End Marina
Weigh-in: 2 PM at Lakes End Marina
Each team is limited to a 5 fish limit.
No more than 2 People Per Boat
Artificial bait only. Live bait is an immediate disqualification.
Live wells must be emptied at check-in.
All fish must be released immediately after weigh in or prior to collecting prize money.
All fish must be caught live with rod and reel with artificial bait. (No live bait)
Size limits
3 Have to be more than 14 inches
2 Can be more than 12 inches
Dead Fish Rules
1 Dead fish ½ pound deduction
2 Dead fish - 1 pound off final weight
More than 2 dead fish - disqualified
Tournament winners must be present to receive prize money
