If you’re looking for a great way to celebrate the holiday this year, then you’ll have to come to Nantahala for an epic 4th of July Weekend. Lakes End Marina, Lakes End Cafe as well as stayNantahala hosts this amazing event yet again and has worked to offer fun experiences for locals and visitors alike. The event begins Friday, July 2nd and ends epically on Sunday, July 4th with the Nantahala Boat Parade and a Fireworks & Laser Show.

Here are some of the exciting things you’ll be able to expect:

Friday, July 2nd
Friday starts off the celebration with Lakes End Cafe’s famous fish fry! The family will love their fried fish cooked to perfection as well as all the other items offered on the menu. Also, everyone will enjoy the outdoors with a game of corn hole. For a snack, enjoy some popcorn and snow cones or warm up by the bonfire and make a perfect gooey s’more that is sure to hit the spot!

Saturday, July 3rd
On Saturday, return to Lakes End Cafe for their famous Prime Rib Dinner special! You’ll start to see more activities taking place on Saturday as well. Enjoy a game of corn hole or take your turn at the dunk tank. There will also be grilled hamburgers and hot dogs as well as popcorn and snow cones. For even yet more fun, enjoy a dive-in movie!

Sunday, July 4th
Sunday is a must-attend day! The festivities start early so be sure to get some rest Saturday night. At 10:30 am, the Boat Parade will take place. If you’re interested, the parade begins at Little Choga and all residents and guests are invited to participate! The top three participating boats even win a special prize!

  • 1st Place wins $100 Lakes End Gift Certificate

  • 2nd Place wins $50 Lakes End Gift Certificate

  • 3rd Place wins $25 Lakes End Gift Certificate

Of course, on top of the Annual Boat Parade, you and the family can still enjoy a game of corn hole, the dunk tank as well as our festival favorites, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones.

On Sunday night, gather around Lake Nantahala as Forge Lakes Lodge hosts another year of spectacular Independence Day fireworks and Laser show!
